Adorning the walls and on display inside the Brief Encounter Restaurant, you will find a marvellous collection of old "railwayana" items, many of them from the local area. There are station signs, signalbox nameplates and diagrams, prints, paintings, photographs, tickets, handbills, signalling instruments, timetables, bells, instruction books, cutlery, crockery and many other items on show in the main building . It really is treasure trove of items - all of which have, in their own ways, part of the railway story to tell - from the smallest goods and parcel labels right up to locomotive nameplates.

A Carriage Print of Wymondham, taken from a watercolour by Ipswich artist Leonard Squirrell - one of a series commissioned by the LNER.
